I have explained the objective to the participants and they will be invited for an assessment interview, in which its relevance and the future application of the insights will be discussed.
To them, this was a new approach but also a moment of reflection during as well as after the training.

Our cooperators spent a very active day in the ‘Lab of the Future’ by doing some very constructive thinking about the future of our school and, actually, about the future of our pupils. A real tsunami of innovative ideas has overwhelmed us, sometimes idealistic or utopian, sometimes surprisingly up-to-date and practical. This will really set us going!
A strategic plan in cooperation with Domo de Refontiro is an absolute recommend. Not only is the final plan set up within a mid long period of time in a spirit of maximal involvement. The process itself, leading to this plan, is of a very high value as well. Our school has been through a sort of ‘mind shift’, stimulating participation and open communication.
When I drove to Stuivekenskerke, I was asking myself in my car which extra value my presence could have. Being members of the board, we basically deal with figures, finance, organisation, strategy, infrastructure and more of those things. Content and didactics are normally not our business, since we fully trust the school management in taking care of those aspects. However, during 2 days, I have noticed that thinking and talking happened in a very open and honest spirit. Moreover, the professional performance of coaches as well as participants reached a very high level. Taking part in all these forms of thinking practice has been a real extra value for me. “My” school has become much more familiar to me. These innovative insights will be an extra guideline in future decision making during the board meetings to come.
